Della Florence (Wickersham) Byers, wife of A. L. Byers, was born April 6, 1874, at Portland, Indiana, and departed this life on July 16, 1968, in Sacramento, California, at the age of 94 years. She was the last member of the former “Gospel Trumpet family” of Grand Junction, Michigan, to die. She was laid to rest beside her late husband in the Sacramento Memorial Lawn Cemetery. She was the writer of the melody of Evening Light Songs #230, “One In Christ.”
