William G. Schell

William Galleo Schell was born June 30, 1869, in North Star, Ohio, and died September 23, 1940, in Cygnet, Ohio (aged 71). His body was laid to rest in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, Ohio. He wrote the words of several of our most cherished songs as well as authored the words and melody of one of today’s favorites, #373 in the Evening Light Songs hymnal, “What Will It Be to be There?” He also authored both the words and melody to #464, “He Shed His Blood for All.”

Eva Adena (Warwick) Schell, wife of William G. Schell, was born December 29, 1872, in New Castle, Ohio and departed this life in March 1932. She is buried in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, Ohio, beside her husband.
